ALBANY – Domonick J. "Mickey" Fish, 68, of Albany passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
He was born in Albany on January 26, 1952 a son of the late Francis James and Yvonne Joyce (Carr) Fish.
Mickey was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United State Army. While serving in the military, he studied to become a chef.
After the military, he worked for various restaurants before joining 2Shea Catering, Inc. where he worked for several years until his death.
He was a member of the New York State Retired Volunteer Firefighters Association.
He loved to hang out with his two best friends, "Pall" and "Bud" and his four-legged best pal, Barney. Mickey was kind and generous and would help anybody that would need it.
He is survived by his loving and patient fiancé, Sandra J. LeBlanc; 4 sisters, Kathleen P. (Michael) Pinkowski, Lynn (Donald) Ogborn), Laurie (Ken) Ray and Dede (Harold) Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm with a celebration of life to immediately follow at 12:30 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka Kansas 66675-8516 in Mickey's memory.
