Donald Aveyard

Albany- Donald B. Aveyard passed away suddenly at his home on July 23, 2015. He was 84 years old.
The son of the late Alfred and Agnes (McCabe) Aveyard, Don was born on February 10, 1931 in Springfield, MA. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1948-50. After his service he worked as a Police Officer in Norfolk, VA. He retired from Albany County Civil defense.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne; his son Keith "Wayne" (Omega) Aveyard; his brother Alfred "Al" Aveyard; two stepsons, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held from 4 – 6 pm on Monday, July 27 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Burial will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 28 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
