Donald Frederick Bopp

Donald Frederick Bopp, 90, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Donald was born on August 12, 1933 in Yonkers, New York to the late Edward and Helen (Walden) Bopp. Donald was the devoted husband to Patricia Ann Bopp. They were married 62 years.
Donald joined the United States Army in 1950 at the age of 18 and served his nation during the Korean War. Donald met his wife, Patricia, through a mutual friend and they were married on May 27, 1961 and started their family. Donald and Patricia moved from Yonkers, New York to Summit, New York in 1979, where they spent most of their years.
Donald was a very simple man. He most enjoyed traveling from place to place and house to house, visiting and spending time with his close family and friends. Donald loved watching sports, particularly baseball and football. He loved spending alone time in his recliner watching whatever sports game or game show he could find on television.
Donald is survived by his wife, Patricia Bopp; six children: Donald (Donna) Bopp Jr., Nicholas (Arlene) Bopp, Doreen (Paul) Laubsch, Michelle (Brian) Denvir, Mark (Dina) Bopp and Laura (Anthony) Bopp; his brother: Edward Bopp; eight grandchildren: Roger (Tiffany) Palmatier, Brian (Linda) Denvir, Leana Bopp, Talia Spina, Gabrielle Laubsch, Sophia Laubsch, Ava Bopp, Abigail Bopp; and four great-grandchildren.
Donald is predeceased by his parents, and two brothers: James Bopp and Gerald Bopp.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 9:30am at St. Clare's Church, Central Ave., Colonie. Inurnment will immediately follow in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville at 12:00pm.
