COLONIE – Donald Bowen, 80, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Albany County Nursing Home.
Donald was born on November 12, 1931 in Albany and was the son of the late Brandon and Dorothy (Smith) Bowen. He as an animal lover and enjoyed the outdoors.
Donald is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol (Bradley) Jordan of Amsterdam; his brother-in-law, Ulric Persia of Colonie; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, June (Cistin) Bowen and his siblings, Robert Bowen, Doris Prestipino, Janet Persia, Barbara Vogel, and Thomas Bowen.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
