ALBANY- Donald H. Brown, 57, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.
Donald was born in Troy on June 10, 1960 and is the son of Barbara Mikkelsen and the late Donald Brown.
He worked as an environmental scientist for the NYS Department of Health in Albany for over 10 years before retiring.
Donald had a great love of the outdoors and fishing. He was dedicated to his work and successfully achieved his long term goal of completing his thesis. He was a devoted father, brother, son and friend and will be dearly missed by those who had the privilege to know and love him.
Donald is survived by his sons, Bryan Brown and Kevin Brown and their mother Janet Robens; his mother, Barbara; brother Scott Brown; sister, Kathy (Bob) Fahy; close friends, Lisa Drzymala and Janet Lockwood and several relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Mark Brown and step-father, Donald Mikkelsen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Thursday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment, Eagle Mills Cemetery, Brunswick, NY.
