GUILDERLAND - Cummings, Donald "Bryan" Jr. 56, of Guilderland, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 23, 2022, with his loving wife and three children by his side.
Bryan was born in Blossburg, PA, and was a 1984 graduate of Odessa-Montour Central High School in Odessa, NY. He worked in the shipping department and as a welder at Hannay Reels in Westerlo, NY for 21 years. Bryan and his wife Stacey met on a blind date in the summer of 1988, went their separate ways for 11 years, and later reconnected, marrying in 2002. He was a loyal New York Yankees and New York Giants fan, an avid reader, and loved playing basketball. His greatest joys were watching his children play sports, mentoring premarital couples through Grace Fellowship Church, and spending quality time with his family.
Bryan was stead-fast in his faith, continually praying and pointing people to Jesus right to the very end. He was a dedicated and loyal husband and father who always put others first. He was a covenant member of Grace Fellowship Church for over 20 years, where he and his wife Stacey led small groups within the marriage ministry.
Bryan was predeceased by his father Donald Bryan Cummings, Sr.; maternal grandparents Casper "Cop" Thompson, Jr. and Josephine "Joie" Thompson (Noonan); paternal grandparents Earl Cummings, Jr. and Helen Cummings (Batz); mother-in-law Judith Ann Sayre (Bailey); niece Savannah Newton; and nephew Ryan Pruitt. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Stacey (Sayre); children Bailey, Colby, and Cadan; mother Louise (Chris) Cummings; stepmother Sue Cummings; brothers Sean (Katie) Cummings and David Cummings; and is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other loving family members and dear friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. David Shaffer and Dr. Todd Doyle of NYOH and Dr. Matthew DiCaprio of The Bone and Joint Center for their amazing care of Bryan during this journey.
