Donald D. Anderson

COLONIE – Donald D. Anderson III, 36, of Colonie, passed away suddenly on Sunday June 20, 2010. He was born in Albany and was a 1993 graduate of Colonie High School.
Donnie was employed with the Town of Colonie Highway Department for many years. He was a longtime member and officer with the Midway Fire Department in Colonie. Donnie was recognized as the Midway Fireman of the Year in 1994. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Bon Jovi and professional wrestling. He enjoyed all types of music and playing the drums.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Caryn Van Deusen Anderson, his beloved children Bret and Kiersten; his mother Rosanne (Gary) Salvagni; his father Donald Anderson Jr.; his brother Shane (Christine) Anderson. He is the grandson of Nancy Wilkinson and the late Lewis Wilkinson, Donald and Genevieve Anderson. Donnie is the uncle and godfather of Emma Anderson. He is the godson of Gary Parker and the late Harriet Parker. Son in law of Linda Van Deusen and the late Bill Van Deusen. Brother in law of Michael VanDeusen. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson Children Education Fund c/o the funeral home.
