COLONIE – Donald E. Bryda Sr., 72, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes Bryda. Don served in the US Air Force. He was avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and RV camping. Don was a glazier for over 30 years and later a bus driver from South Colonie Schools. He was a member and officer of Local 201, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. Don basked in the joy of being with his cherished family.
He is the beloved husband of Ann Bottisti Bryda. Don is the devoted father of Donald E. (Laurie) Bryda Jr., Dean (Lisa) Bryda and Craig (Traci) Bryda. He is the brother of Edward (Vickie) Bryda and Pat (John) Pinkans and the late Mary Hildebrandt. He is the proud grandfather of Carlee, Mason, Jeremy, Nathan, Madison, Abbigail and Logan Bryda. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 12 noon at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9:30am to 12:00 at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave.,Colonie. Interment will be Memory Gardens.
