Donald E. Weaver

Donald E. Weaver, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Statton VA Medical Center with his family by his side. Don was born in Albany to the late William and Helen Weaver. Don proudly served in the United States Marines and was the owner and operator of "Don Weaver Siding" for over 54 years. Don loved to spend time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents Don was predeceased by; his brothers and sister, Richard Weaver, Eileen Drucker and Warren H. Weaver.
Don is survived by his loving children; Donald M. (Lynn) Weaver, Michael J. Weaver, Lori (John) Byerwalters and Kim (Mario) Gabriel. He is the proud grandfather of Corie, Casey (Richard), Donald M., Jr., Justin (Nicole), Erika, Joshua, Eric, Mikayla and great grandfather of Caydon, Shannon, Cuyler, Kylie and Jayden. He is the brother of Jacqueline, Claire, William (Rita) and Marcia (George). He is also survived by his childhood and dear friend, Beverly Pottala.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Stratton's Veterans Affairs Medical Center 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208 in Don's memory.
