SCHENECTADY- Donald G. Boyle, 78, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
Don was born in Albany, NY to the late George and Jessie Boyle on November 24, 1937. He was a loyal employee to the Times Union in Albany, NY.
Don is predeceased by his wife, Joan Boyle, and his sister, Edna Boyle.
He is survived by his children; Lynn (Martin) McTague, Donald Boyle Jr., and Simone (Shannon)Smith, his grandchildren; Kyle, Tyler, Shannon, Jessy, Alayna, and Joscelyn, his great-grandson, Maxx, his brother Richard (Arlene) Boyle, and sister-in-law, Dora Klose, a host of nieces and nephews, and his great-grandniece, Caoilfhionn "Keelin" Boyle.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. A service will be held at the funeral home that night at 8:30pm. A graveside service will be held at Park View Cemetery, 40 Fehr Ave, Schenectady, NY 12304 on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00pm.
