COLONIE - Donald G. Green, 77, passed away on Monday, May, 20, 2013 in Pittsfield, Mass.
Donald was born on August 22, 1935 in Schenectady and was the son of the late, Harvey and Helen (Johnson) Green. He owned and operated DPS Automotive in Albany and Colonie for many years before retiring. He was also a professional drag racer, as well as an avid supporter of local racers and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Donald is survived by his loving children, Debra (Paul) Russman of Clifton Park, Gary (Gabriella) Green of Colonie, and Timothy Green of Coppell, Texas; and his cherished grandchildren, Shawn, Heather, Shannan, Nicholas, and Matthew. He is the brother of Paul (Barbara) Green, Peter (Cheryl) Green, George Green, Linda (Jim) Myers and the late Robert Green.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m.
