Donald R. "Donnie" Harmon, Jr.

Harmon, Donnie of Albany passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. He was a longtime resident of the South End of Albany, a neighborhood that he loved very much. He served the United States Navy from 1974 through 1978 when he was honorably discharged as a wounded Veteran. Donnie was very proud of his service to the United States Navy and he supported his brothers and sisters that dedicated their lives to supporting the United States of America with every fiber of his being. While in the Navy he serviced the U.S.S. Dixie as a boilermaker and after his time in the Navy he spent many more years as a boilermaker under Local Union 5. He was a traveler who always met friends along the way. Donnie was the beloved son of the late Dorothy M. Harmon and Donald R. Harmon, Sr. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Cecilia DiMartino and his best companion, Murphy. He is survived by his children, Rheannon DiMartino (Justin), Joshua Harmon (Jillian) and three amazing grandchildren he adored Zachary Harmon, Channon DiMartino and Chessa DiMartino. Additional survivors include his loving sister Donna Montaesano, his nephew and a magnitude of friends.
