LATHAM – Donald J. Card, 60, passed away at home on Thursday, April 26, 2012, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Albany, he is the beloved son of Donald T. and Margaret Card. He had resided in Latham for thirty-five years. Don was a proud employee of LaSalle School in Albany where he had many friends he worked closely with for nearly forty years.

In addition to his loving parents, Don is survived by his beloved wife, Julie A. (Giachetti) Card. He is the devoted father of Christian Card and Michelle (Andrew) Mangini. Don was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild in August. He is the cherished brother of Linda (Paul) Hulslander.


Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the LaSalle School Chapel and Cultural Center, 391 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the LaSalle School in Albany in memory of Donald J. Card.
