Malta – Donald J. Johnson, Jr., 47, passed away Wednesday December 22, 2010.
Donald, the son of Maria and Donald Johnson, Sr. was born in Albany and called the capital area home for most of his life. He worked as a Regional Marketing Manager for Exxon Mobil's On The Run stores for more than a decade and for the last couple of years was employed at Couche-Tard (Circle K), which had purchased the On The Run stores. Don was a consummate professional who always excelled at everything he did, no matter what the job. He was very proud of and interested in his Indian heritage, enjoyed hunting and fishing and recently had developed a keen interest in SCUBA diving. Don was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Mets fan but his favorite sporting events were those of his children.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Rhiannah Leigh, Cristianne Nicole, Taylor Joseph and Logan Gabrielle Johnson; his brother, Christopher Johnson and his wife Kathy and their children Amanda and Alyssa and his nephews Pauly, Brandon and Aidan Nylin and niece Gina Nylin. Don will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched, especially his lifelong friend, Ronald Henry. Everyone who knew Don, loved him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00am Thursday at St. Helen's Church, 1803 Union St., Niskayuna. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will be Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
