Schenectady- Donald L. Countryman, 88, passed away September 25th 2015. He was the son of the late Lawyer and Emma Countryman.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Dolores Graham Countryman.
Don served in the Philippines during WWII with the Army. Don also worked for Sealy Mattress in Albany for 39 years. Don and Dolores were bluegrass and country groupies following their favorite bands for many years. They also enjoyed traveling and attending local car shows.
Don is survived by his three children; Lee (Laura) Countryman of Duanesburg , Jean (William) Hummell of Maitland, FL and Peter (Cindy) Countryman of Rotterdam. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren; Jason, Amanda, Amy, Ryan, Alanna, Brittany, Kaitlynn and Jocelyn. Don also leaves behind his sister, Doris MacDonald of East Holden, Maine, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by his sister Beatrice Furbeck.
