COLONIE – Donald G. Medick, 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 14, 1930 to Gordon Medick and Myrtle (Dedrick) Medick.
He graduated from Albany High in 1950 and from Cobleskill College in 1952.
Donald worked as a dairy farmer at Newell Farm in Glenmont for 3 years, New York Telephone Company for 32 years, and Telecom for 10 years.
He married Jean S. Viglucci June 14, 1952.
He was predeceased by his sons Michael and Paul and his brothers, Darwin and Allen
Besides his wife Jean, Donald is survived by his children, Donna Hood (Charles), Nancy Armstrong (Mark), Mary Beth Ribet (Steven); his grandchildren, Amy, Laura, Shawn, Brittany, Scott, Christopher, and Sarah and many step grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a brother, Douglas (Megnon) and a daughter in law Marie (Michael deceased)
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 2, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers to donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
