Dies At Age 93
Donald W. Bordwell of Colonie, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2015, after a brief illness. He was born in North Adams, MA and lived in Colonie, NY since the age of 10 years.
Mr. Bordwell proudly served as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, Stationed at Midway Island in the Pacific Theater of WW II. After an honorable discharge from the service, he embarked upon a career building many homes in the local community. Mr. Bordwell was a member of VFW Post 8692, New Karner Rd., Albany New York.
He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth H. Bordwell, Sr. and Margaret Connell Bordwell; his bothers, Kenneth Bordwell, Jr., William Bordwell and Robert Bordwell; his son, Donald A. Bordwell; and finally, by his life partner, Agnes Chagnon.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryle (Eric) Freedman; and Susan McLaughlin; his grandchildren Tracey Camilli, Kimberly (Tisha) Bisner-Boulay and Kevin (Ryan) Bisner; Great grandchildren Shea Bisner-Boulay, Megan Camilli and Alyssa Camilli; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his life partner's children Wayne (Judy) Chagnon; Tony (Carol) Chagnon; Donald (Theresa) Brown; Debi Ditoro; and Agnes Chagnon's many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; additionally, he is survived by his dear friend, Gerry Shults
