Donald E. Williams Jr., age 57, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024, at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born on November 3, 1966, in Abingdon, Virginia to Donald E. Williams Sr. and Thelma (Adams) Williams. He was a graduate of Castlewood High School in Castlewood, Virginia. Don worked in various jobs throughout the Capital District.
Don was a passionate sports fan with a deep love for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Braves, and Boston Celtics. He was known for his extensive sports knowledge and outspokenness, especially in matters of politics.
He had a huge heart and loved people, having conversations with anybody about anything. His kindness and generosity will be remembered by everyone that came into contact with him.
He is survived by his parents and his siblings: Renee (Carlton) Brown, Kim (Adelina) Williams, Mary (David) Williams-Noi, and Tracy Gilmore from Virginia. He also leaves behind a special sister, Mary (Daniels) Hall from Maryland.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Eugene and Novella (Moore) Williams, and William and Kathryn (Miller) Adams, as well as his uncle and brother, David Adams, and other family members.
He was a beloved uncle and is survived by nine nephews and nieces, as well as eight great-nephews and nieces.
