Donna A. Daniels-Plew

DELMAR-Donna A. Daniels-Plew, 70, of Delmar, NY passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Community Hospice at St. Peter's Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born in Albany, NY the daughter of the late Stephen Daniels and Louise (Watson) Lanese. She worked for over 25 years as a cosmetologist for Michaelson's Enterprises along with various other shops. Donna was also employed by the NYS Tax & Finance and Motor Vehicle Department. She loved spending time with her family, who were most important to her. Donna enjoyed her annual trips with her friends to Maine; going to Proctor's Theatre, an avid reader and movie critic.
Donna is survived by her former husband Edward J. Plew, Jr. of Albany; her children Edward J. Plew, III (Michelle) of Watervliet, Lisa Ann Plew-August of Guilderland and James P. Plew of Clifton Park. She is also survived by her grandchildren Edward J. Plew, IV (Sabrina), Sydney Rose Marotta and Skylar Rae Marotta; great grandchildren Brianna, Emma and Troy Plew, Allanah Dawn Plew; her siblings Helen "Babe" Grybowski of Albany, Jack Daniels (Marge) of Clifton Park, Richard Daniels (Kathy) of S.E. Bothell, WA, and Denise Arnold of Guilderland; cousin Nancy Kapp of East Greenbush and Rosiland "Chickie" Lombardo of Glenmont, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Hospice and Albany Medical Center Hospital for the exceptional care that Donna received.
In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her son Michael Anthony Plew in 2003 and by her brother Ronald Daniels.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
