Donna Benedict

Saratoga Springs - Donna J. Benedict, 67, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital. Donna was born and raised in Albany was the granddaughter of the late Frances Dyer and daughter of the late Lillian Kelly. Donna was the devoted wife to Roger Benedict. They were married 32 years.

Donna worked as a nurse in geriatrics for 30 years and then worked as an interior decorator for JC Penney for a number of years before retiring. Donna enjoyed interior decorating, gardening, and American Indian crafts and loved to watch science fiction movies. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and loved cooking for them.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by her son, Louis Fischer; her granddaughter, Autumn D'Atri; her siblings, Darlene, Deborah, Holly, Bobby, Bill, and Harry and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Fischer and her siblings, Cheryl, Dennis, Terrance, and Kenneth.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
