Donna Marie (Robinson) Fink, 66 of Albany passed away at her Rotterdam home in the presence of her significant other James T. Nelson on Dec. 5, 2020 after a long fight with cancer.
Born Sept. 11, 1954 in Albany, she is the daughter of the late Donald A. Robinson and Elizabeth J. (Fitzsimmons) Robinson.
In addition to her partner James, she is survived by her siblings: Michael L. Robinson, who recently lost his wife Jackie, (Naples, Fl); Garry J. (Nancy) Robinson (Guilderland NY); Mariann (Robinson) Vagianelis (Stephen) (Guilderland NY) and Amy (Robinson) Bourdeau (John) (Winchester MA):
nieces and nephews: and Uncle Jim (Doris) Robinson (Florida).
Donna grew up in Guilderland NY, is a graduate of Guilderland Central High School, and of Cobleskill College of Agriculture and Technology. She diligently worked at the family's Robinson Hardware Store in Guilderland, at St. Peters Hospital and at the Samaritan Hospital where she retired as an endoscopy technician five years ago.
She loved her two Labs and her cats and their deaths influenced Donna's sensitive heart.
She enjoyed lottery scratch-offs , the casinos and getting cheese fries from Fritz's with James. She lovingly hand fed "Smilie" a favorite wild squirrel on her deck.
She told James every day that she loves him for nine and a half years.
A graveside service will be held on Monday December 14th at 10am at Memory Garden's cemetery 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Colonie NY 12205.
