Donna L. Ivery

February 3, 1944 — December 27, 2017

Albany- Donna Louise Ivery, 2/3/44-12/27/17 born in Warrenton, GA, a long time resident of Catskill and Albany, NY, passed away peacefully following a long fight with cancer, surrounded by family and friends at St. Peter's Hospital.
Ms. Ivery is survived by her daughters, Deardra (Pam) Ivery and Charlene (Brad) Mondun. Also, by Jaelen and Jaequil, her grandsons, who were the light in her life. Several siblings, Minda (Rob) Dunlap, Sue Ivery, Michael (Carol) Ivery, Pauline Ryan, Catherine Ivery, and Thomas (Martha) Ivery.
She was predeceased by her parents; Willie Joe and Dorothy Ivery. Siblings; Willie James, Yvonne, and Bill Ivery.
Donna leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends whom she loved and enjoyed.
Donna retired from NYS Thruway Authority(and numerous other jobs) over 10 years ago.
Donna was known as a seamstress, and was known as "Aunt Donna" to most of the kids in the neighborhood. Her favorite hobby for over 60 years was to repair and create clothes for the people in her neighborhood.
Services will be held at Second Baptist Church 458 Main St., Catskill, NY from 12-2 pm on Saturday, 1/6/2018. Visitation will proceed the service from 11 am to 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
