ALBANY – Donna-Lynn Whydra, 48, entered into eternal rest suddenly, on Wednesday, July 7, 2010.
Donna-Lynn was born on November 21, 1961 in Albany and is the daughter of Judith E. (Filsinger) Whydra and the late Thomas J. Whydra. In addition to her mother, Donna-Lynn is survived by her loving fiancé and companion of 23 years, Patrick Hoogkamp; her loving children, Jamielynn (Matthew) Poggoli and Matthew T. (Crystal) Whydra; her brother, Daniel T. (Anne) Whydra; her sister, Dawn-Marie (Mark) Livingston; and her cherished grandchildren, Dominic, Anthony and Aria Poggoli and Star Whydra.
Donna-Lynn has worked as a keyboard specialist for NYS Department of Education for the past 31 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, and hummingbirds; was a motorcycle enthusiast and an avid photographer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 609 Central Ave. at Colby St., Albany. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
