Donna M. Ertel

OBITUARY – Donna M. Violette Ertel, 60, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Friday March 14, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Francis and Rita Bisaillon Violette.
Donna worked in human services for Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, ROI, Medicab and Rensselaer County ARC. She enjoyed a game of chance and was a fan of the New York Yankees. Aunt Donna will be remembered as a kind and giving soul. She was known to spoil her cherished nieces and nephews.
Donna is survived by her beloved husband, William F. Ertel. She is the sister of Robert (Diana) Violette and the late Arlene (John) Cocco and Norman Violette. Donna is the sister in law of Barbara Violette. She is also survived by many loved and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank Capital District Renal Physicians, Community Care Physicians, Capital Cardiology, DCI Clinic and St. Peter's Hospital for their kind and gentle care.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 1 to 3 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. in Colonie. A service in Celebration of Donna's life will be held at 3:00 on Thursday at the funeral home.
