Dora Tunkel

Guilderland- Dora Tunkel, age 104, of Guilderland passed away on Wednesday January 3, 2007 at Guilderland Center Nursing Home. She was born in Germany and was the daughter of the late Valentine and Maria Prybylski. Dora was predeceased in 1977 by her beloved husband, Fritz Tunkel.
She immigrated to the United States in 1925. Along with her late husband, they had operated the former Bond Cleaners on Central in Albany for over 30 years. Dora enjoyed cooking for her family.
She is the beloved mother of Harold F. (Margaret) Tunkel of Guilderland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:30 at Christ the King Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 4 pm at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
