ALBANY – Dorethea F. Cook, died September 16, 2005 at her home. She was born on December 17, 1953 in Rosehill, NC, to Alex Boykin and the late Willadean Boykin. Faye is survived by her husband, William (Willie) Cook of Schenectady and her three children, Willie and Denarsha Cook of Albany and Jennifer Cook of Orlando. Also surviving are her four cherished grandsons, Markel Yates and Jahaad Chaney of Orlando, FL and Lanier Jones and Elijah Workman of Albany and her siblings, Doshie Davis, Clarence "Tub" Newton and Thomas L. (Donna) Boykin, all of Albany. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Allyson (Acacia) Cade for being there for Mrs. Cook from the beginning to the end. The family will be receiving callers immediately following the service at 665 Clinton Ave.
