Rotterdam- Doris K. Angillo, 92, of Rotterdam, NY died on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 after a long illness. Born in Fonda, NY on May 5, 1925, she was the daughter of Earl J. and Rose E. (Hopkins) Kingsbury.
A graduate of Fonda High School, class of 1943, Doris was employed as a bookkeeper and head cashier for the Pantry Pride Food Stores in Latham, NY. She was also a claims processor at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (GE Division) for a number of years also in Latham, NY.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Thomas F. and beloved daughter Lori K. Angillo both of Rotterdam, NY; two sisters Merle DeMallie of Tribes Hill, NY and Marie Martin of Troy, NY.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sheri E. Angillo and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She enjoyed reading, crafts, making baby bonnets and blankets for the preemies at Bellevue Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animal Protective Foundation in her memory.
