COLONIE – Doris A. Crawmer, 70, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2006 after a sudden illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Val and Anna Graves. She lived in Colonie for most of her life. Doris worked at Flah's in Colonie Center for many years prior to working for N.Y.S. Dept. of Taxation and Finance, from where she retried. She loved tending to her garden and spending time playing games with family and friends. She especially enjoyed over 50 years of weekly card nights with her lifelong friends. Doris is the beloved mother of David Richard Crawmer and his wife, Anna of North Greenbush, Diane Vumbaco and her husband, Frank of Nashua, NH and Donna Gibney and her husband, Douglas of Boca Raton, FL. She is the cherished grandmother of Vinnie and David Vumbaco, Christian and Madison Crawmer and Daniel and Matthew Gibney. Also surviving is her sister, Mary Ellen Graves of Albany and her niece, Lynda Gann and nephew, Michael Olszewski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday morning at 9:00 at St. Clare's Church. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Doris A. Crawmer.
