COLONIE- Doris F. Snyder, 83, of Colonie, passed away on Friday , March 12, 2010 at the Inn of Community Hospice after a brief illness.
She was born in Burlington, Vermont and was the daughter of the late Napoleon J. and Maime M. Blaise LeBlanc. Doris was a waitress at many local restaurants, including Jack Fung, Golden Fox and King of Kings. She had later worked for New York State Tax & Finance, retiring in 1986. Doris enjoyed games of chance, playing roulette and was a horse racing enthusiast.
She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Harold K. Snyder; her sons, Ken (Jennifer) Snyder and John (Darlene) Snyder; her grandchildren, Rachel (John) Lockman, David, Daniel, Joseph and Leah Snyder. She is the sister of Harold J. (Colleen) LeBlanc of Schenectady and the late Paul G. LeBlanc, Mildred M. Currier, Clara L. Busha, Amos, Roger and Clarence LeBlanc. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 1:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 noon to 1:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Doris F. Snyder.
