Doris Hine

WILLIAMSPORT, PA. – Doris L. Hine, 77, formerly of Colonie, passed away on Monday February 19, 2007 in Williamsport, PA. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura Bortle.
Doris was an Albany area resident for most of her life before moving to live with her daughter seven years ago. She had worked for Macy's in Colonie Center for 26 years, beginning in 1969. Doris had a special appreciation for the beauty of birds and butterflies. She truly loved spending time with her cherished family. She was predeceased in 1987 by her husband Pual T. Hine.
Doris is the beloved mother of Donna (Alex) Kadenas of Williamsport, PA and Larry Hine of Phoenix, AZ. She is the sister of Edna Bechand and the late Walter Bortle. Doris is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden.
