Doris Holtz

NISKAYUNA, NY – Doris T. Holtz, 75, of Niskayuna, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Laurens and Irene Taylor. Doris graduated from Nott Terrace High School where she was a cheerleader and attended Spencer Business School. She was a secretary and aide for the Niskayuna High School from where she retired. Mrs. Holtz was a member for 57 years at First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady. She volunteered at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Center and the Capital District Youth for Christ. Doris is the beloved wife 53 years to Charles C. Holtz. She is the beloved mother of Tom (Karen) Holtz of Roanoke, VA, Christine Senn of Scotia and Dan (Kristi) Holtz of Cape Coral, FL. She is the sister-in-law of John B. (Anna) Holtz of Latham. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on Union Street, Schenectady. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Parkview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
