SCHENECTADY – Doris I. Varrone, 86, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marguerite (Madison) Katz. Doris worked for the Schenectady County Sheriff's Dept. and General Electric Company for many years before retiring and becoming a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family at camp on Saratoga Lake.

Doris was the beloved wife of the late Palmer C. Kellerhouse and Ralph Varrone. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Susan (Ronald) Fleshman of Colonie and Sandy Miller of Schenectady. She is the cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Dewayne) Thames, Michael (Meghan) Febbie, Jr, Mary (Travis) Boevin and John Fleshman. Also surviving are her loving great-grandchildren, Talia Terezis, Savannah Boevin and Michael Febbie III. In addition to her parents and husbands she was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Katz and Beverly VanDenburg.


Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 in memory of Doris I. Varrone.
