Doris M. Doyle

June 22, 1926 — January 24, 2016

COLONIE_A new bright star, Doris (nee Fletcher) Doyle, shines in heaven on January 24, 2016. An angel to so many people over the years, Doris was carried up to Heaven on the wings of the angels.
Doris loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She was fiercely independent and known for her infamous saying "I can do it myself".
Doris was born in Brooklyn, grew up and lived most of her life in Babylon Village. She briefly worked for the Equitable Life Insurance Company in NYC. While in Babylon, Doris worked at the library and was involved with Home Extension, as well as the East Farmingdale Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. After John's passing she moved to Albany, NY, where she resided in Colonie and made many new friends.
Doris biggest accomplishment and most cherished memories were of her family. She is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Doyle) Lubowitz and her husband Steve and Eileen (Doyle) and her husband Kevin Kroencke and her 4 grandchildren whom she loved as much as life itself, Sean Kroencke, Matthew, Daniel and Ryan Lubowitz.
She was predeceased by her husband John Doyle, the love of her life and her brother James Fletcher.
Funeral services will be private.
