Bradt, Doris
Guilderland – Doris Mary Bradt, 92, passed away peacefully Friday October 29, 2010 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center.
Doris was born in Kinderhook, NY a daughter of the late Sidney and Alma (Hill) Bonesteel and was a lifelong resident of the capital district. As a young woman she worked for Rogers Liquor Company in Albany then for Morris Cramer Bowling Association and more recently for the Tom Sawyer Motor Inn in Albany as a Hostess. Doris enjoyed bowling and dancing, loved animals of all kinds and earlier in life, liked crocheting pocketbooks which she sold. She will be most remembered for being a sweet, caring woman who gave selflessly of her time and energy to anyone in need and above all else an amazing mother.
She is survived by her loving children: Laraine McCumber, Donna (John) Tenace and Guy Bradt, grandchildren: Mark, Scott, Shawn and Christopher, great-grandchildren: Dan, Jessica, Chelsea, Hunter, Jake and Adam, great-great-grandchildren Mackenzie and Nate and several nieces and nephews.
A Communion Service will be celebrated 2:30pm Monday at the chapel at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland. A calling hour will precede the mass from 1:30 to 2:30pm in the chapel.
