COLONIE – Doris May Cook, 74, of Leach Ave. in Colonie passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2007 in the Julie Blair Nursing Home after a long illness.
Doris is the daughter of the late Herman Upton and Beatrice Tulumello. Born in Staten Island New York, she moved upstate with her family to Bald Mountain, where she was educated in the Argyle School systems. She moved to Colonie where she raised a family and became longtime Colonie resident.
She is the wife of the late Frank Oneil and Albert (Stony) Cook. Loving mother of Deborah (Oneil) Perry (Gerald) of Colonie and John Oneil (Gina) of Bear, Delaware. She is the grandmother of Joseph P. Bianchini, Jr. (Susan) of Albany, Nicole (Perry) Robertson (Douglas) of Colonie, Jason Perry of Colonie and Jonathan and Matthew Oneil of Delaware. She is the great-grandmother of Mia Bianchini and Morgan and Connor Robertson. She is the oldest of four, leaving behind a sister, Gertrude Keller (John) of Colonie and two brothers, Robert Upton (Maria) of Menands and Thomas Upton (Angela) of Chesapeake Bay, VA.
Doris retired from Mathew Bender where she updated law books and was a sales associate for Burlington Coat Factory.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
