Doris M. Payeur

Colonie – Doris M. DeLong Payeur, 96, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021. Born on August 27, 1925 in Cohoes, NY. Doris was the daughter of Clarence and Cynthia (Ellett) DeLong. She married Arthur J. Payeur on September 17, 1945 and they celebrated 71 years together.

Doris worked at Mohawk Brush, Sterling Winthrop, and OTB where she was employed for 19 years until she retired at the age of 78. Doris enjoyed a full life with Arthur and her family which was the center of her world. She was an avid card and bingo player, as well as a tremendous crocheter, gracing her family with many of her beautiful creations.

Doris is survived by her beloved sons, Arthur F. Payeur and Michael R. (Tina) Payeur; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Doris spent her last years under the loving care of her granddaughter Danielle Cuzdey.

In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband, Arthur J., daughter, Barbara A. Pregont, brothers Richard and Clarence (Red) DeLong, her granddaughter Stephanie Payeur and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Payeur.

Visitation will be from 10 AM -12 PM, on January 3, 2021 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Doris will then be placed to rest beside her beloved husband, Arthur at Our Lady of Angels, Colonie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Doris' name to The Community Hospice, Gift Processing Center, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
