Doris M. Prior

Clifton Park- Doris M. Prior passed from this life on the morning of June 15, 2023 at the age of 86, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease and multiple myeloma. Born in Plattsburgh, NY on September 22nd, 1936 to John L. and Marjorie D. (Barton) Pettinger.
Doris graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1954. She went on to raise a family and served in a variety of jobs including working at the Pinkerton Detective Agency, Van Rensselaer Manor, and the Albany Airport. Doris was a kind and compassionate person who always rooted for the underdog. She loved music and was listening to Elvis even as she began her journey home.
Doris is survived by her husband, Kevin Prior, her son Scott (Andrea J.) Gallerie, daughters Lisa (Chris Sheldrick) Lane, Maria (Tim Terzian) Gallerie, and Andrea M. (Lacey) Gallerie. She leaves behind brother's Richard, Robert (Florence) and John (Carole) Pettinger and sisters Gail Pettinger and Carol Vincent, as well as sisters-in-law Kim (Ken) Enlow and Keli Prior-Kane. Doris also leaves behind eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Doris was pre-deceased by her Parents, and her oldest son, John Gallerie.
Doris' family would like to give special thanks to the caring staff at the Terrace at Eddy Memorial for all of the love and attention that they showed "Dory".
