Doris S. Trance

COLONIE - Doris S. Trance, 94, of Colonie, NY passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fort Plain, NY and was the daughter of the late Raymond Smith and Irene Dillenback Smith.

Doris was predeceased by her husband of 60 years James R. Trance, Sr. They moved to Colonie in 1952 and called it home for their eight children, Samuel (Theresa) Trance, Rosemarie (John) Dooley, James (Wendy) Trance, Jr., Michael Trance, Carol (Russell) Stout, Joseph (Giselle) Trance, Timothy Trance and Holly Trance Komoroske. Doris was the eldest of 13 children and is survived by her sisters June Fisk, Janet Reiger, Rose Utter and Veronica Maier. She was the proud grandmother of 28 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. She loved every minute she was able to spend with them.

Mom (Doris) lived for her family and friends. She was the most caring, loving person and the best grandmother/great grandmother anyone could ask for. Our family was truly blessed and Doris will be missed greatly by many.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Doris S. Trance.
