Dorothy A. Barbarulo
September 7, 1928 — January 8, 2017
Schenectady- Dorothy A. Barbarulo, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017. Dottie was the daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice Caputo, and was the devoted wife to the late Anthony Barbarulo. They joined in marriage in 1988.
Dottie taught and enjoyed Ballroom dancing. She liked listening to music, especially big band style music.
Dottie is survived by her siblings: Catherine (Harold) Wallimann, Anthony (Joanne) Caputo, Tonie Elser, and Louis Caputo; along with several, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:00 am. The family will be welcome at 9:30 am. A burial will take place at a later date, privately, at the discretion of the family.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the 3rd floor south staff at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation for their comfort, care, and friendship given to Dottie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Dottie's name to: St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church at: 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY, 12304 or to Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation at: 297 No. Ballston Ave, Scotia, 12302.
