Dorothy 'Dottie' Bird Koch, age 64, of Rotterdam, NY passed away in her home unexpectedly on December 9th, 2018.
Born in Oswego, NY on May 3rd, 1954 to Richard and Marion Bird.
Dottie was survived by her children Adele and Alexandra Koch; grandchildren Charles and Stella Shumaker; sisters Ellen Bird-Terns (Bill), Margaret Schroder (Fred), Barbara Alberts (Mark), and Mary Starr.
Dottie retired from the Department of Transportation and was known for her infectious laugh and compassion for others.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205 on December 13th, 2018 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, with a brief memorial service to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family asks a donation to be made to Tourette Association of America.
