MALTA- Dorothy "Dort" C. Nolan, 82, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Dort was born on March 21, 1934 to the late Frank and Charlotte Pelletier in Watervliet, NY. She went to school in Watervliet, and began working at a very early age. Her first job was at Tiny Town Togs at a factory making dresses. On April 19, 1952 Dort married the love of her life, Robert Nolan. They were married for 64 years. Together they had two daughters. Dort was a caring homemaker for many years before returning to work in retail. Over her lifetime she worked for many different companies. She worked until she was 72, when she retired to take care of her mother. Dort will be remembered for her smile and her laughter. Her passion in life were pets, jewelry, and children.
Dort is predeceased by her siblings; Frank Pelletier Jr., Eugene Pelletier, Carolyn O'konski, and June Mohan, and many beloved pets, especially her dog, "Bunny".
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Nolan, her daughters; Darcy (Bill) Keogh, and Diane (Tony) Leva, her grandchildren; Bob(Sara) Keogh, and Anthony Leva, and her sister, Betty Suchocki, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road (Rt. 155), Albany, NY 12205, on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a service to immediately follow.
