Dorothy E. Mauro

GUILDERLAND – Dorothy E. Mauro, 82, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a brief illness. Born in Greenport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Anna Rowe.
Dorothy worked for Travelodge in McKownville for 30 years. She also served for many years with the Albany County Board of Elections. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy was a dedicated fan of the NY Mets. She adored her Beagle Casey and her kittens Patches and Sheba.
Along with her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Vito Mauro and brothers Donald and Robert Rowe.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Linda) Mauro of East Berne, Francis Mauro of Guilderland, Mary (David) MacMartin of Guilderland, Victor Mauro of Albany, Michael Mauro of Guilderland, and Jean (Thomas) Adamson of Delmar; sister Sharon Throneburg of Schenectady; grandchildren Todd, Brian, Timothy and James; great-grandchildren Anthony and Katie, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be made to St. Peter's Hospice Inn, 315 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
