Dorothy H. Graton

ALBANY – Dorothy H. Graton, 98, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2014. She passed on peacefully in her sleep.

Dorothy was born in Albany the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Susie Wehner Graton and had resided in the area all her life. She had been employed by the NYS Teachers' Retirement System in Albany. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its ZIPS group, as well as an avid hiker and member of the ADK.

Dorothy is survived by two sisters, Mary G. Comstock and Florence E. Zimmermann and one brother, Byron D. Graton. She was predeceased by one brother, Joseph D. Graton and one sister, Susan M. Graton. Although she never married, Dorothy was much loved by over fifty nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, and great grand nieces and great grand nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday. Burial will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.
