Dorothy K. Taylor

COLONIE – Dorothy K. Taylor, 89, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2008. She was born in Albany and lived in Albany and Colonie for all of her life. Dorothy was a graduate of Albany High School and continued her education at the Albany School of Nursing, graduating in 1937. After nursing school, she worked for the Albany Hospital and held various nursing positions throughout her career. She enjoyed attending bible study class and was an avid bingo player. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late John C. Taylor. She is the devoted mother of Charles F. Taylor and his wife, Nancy of Colonie. She is the cherished grandmother of Craig J. Taylor of Rotterdam, Melissa L. Taylor of Colonie and Keith C. Taylor of Colonie. Dorothy is the loving sister of Robert E. (Shirley) King of Colonie. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or to the charity of one's choice in memory of Dorothy K. Taylor.
