COLONIE – Dorothy L. Freer, 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the Albany Memorial Hospital.
Dorothy was born on January 27, 1920 in Jordan, NY to the late J. Hunting and Marjorie Somes.
Dorothy worked as a seamstress for over 10 years for JC Penney. She was an avid square dancer with her husband and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, J. Kenneth "Pete" Freer; her children: Cynthia (William) Fuller of Ormond Beach, FL, and Douglas (Shirley) Freer of Voorheesville; her grandchildren, Sherry, Robert and Scott Fuller and Douglas, Jr. and Kenneth Freer; and her great grandchildren, Michael Kratski, Elizabeth Freer and Matthew Freer.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Cental Ave.). A committal service will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie.
