Dorothy M. Nick

COLONIE – Dorothy M. Nick, 95, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 10, 2012, with her loving husband by her side. Born in Springfield, MA she was the daughter of the late Joel and Cora Chase. Mrs. Nick resided in Colonie for over sixty years. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics and caring for her family. Dorothy is the beloved wife of sixty-four years to John H. Nick. She is the devoted mother of John (Jo Anne) Nick and Frederick Nick. She is the cherished grandmother of Michael (Valerie) Nick and Stephen Nick and the loving great-grandmother of Aiden and Connor Nick. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Dorothy M. Nick.
