O'Neil, Dorothy
Albany, NY – Dorothy M. O'Neil, 93, passed away peacefully Sunday December 20. 2009.
Dorothy was born in Maywood, NJ the daughter of the late Frederick and Pearl (Shannon) Buesking. She and her family moved to the Albany area in the late seventies and have resided here since. After her husband's death in 1956, Dorothy went to work for the Bergen County Courthouse where she was employed for twenty years. She was a lifetime member of the Daughter of the American Revolution and Regent of the Wayne Chapter of the DAR in Honesdale, PA. Dorothy was an accomplished musician who gave music lesson and even played at the First Presbyterian Church in New Jersey where the family lived. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing but her real passion was the family genealogy.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Carole Vrooman, grandson Michael (Janet) Tracey and great-granddaughter Molly Shannon Tracey. She was predeceased by her husband Lester.
