Dorothy R. Mcgann

Dorothy (Dodie) R. McGann, 82, of Albany, passed away on October 9, 2023 at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 30, 1941 to Late Howard and Dorothy Wickham, Sr. in Albany, NY.

In the earlier years Dodie worked for Grants, Woolworth then onto VA Hospital where she retired. She enjoyed ceramics, bingo and bowling. As the years went on Dodie enjoyed going to the casino with her sister, Debbie and enjoyed playing card games with her brother and sisters. Most of all she loved being with family. In her quiet time she liked playing games on her phone and word search puzzles.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Edward McGann, Siblings ; Mary Williams, Deborah Ellis, David Wickham Sr, James Wickham Sr.

Dorothy is survived by her children Deric Emary (Lori), Teresa (Keith) Fogg Sr. , Dawn (Lester) Decker, Robin (Thomas) McGrath Jr., Thomas Emary Sr. (April) and her God Daughter Stacy Moore, as well as grandchildren, Brandy (Ali) Khan, Thomas (Kathleen) McGrath III, Scott Lyman, Deric Peterson, Nicole (Andy) McCausliin, Richard (Patrice) Mainville Jr., Amanda (William) Dickenson, Chay McGrath, Melody (Jason) Deppe, Keith (Rebecca) Fogg Jr., Jacqueline Fogg, Anthoney Emary, Thomas Emary Jr., Shelby Decker, 24 great grandchildren, she will be lovingly remembered by her remaining brothers and sister, Howard Wickham Jr., Donna Parker and William Wickham, along with many nieces and nephews.


A visitation will be held on Saturday October 21st from 10am-12pm with a service to follow at 12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funeral, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY.

Interment will take place in Memory Gardens following the service.
