Dorothy Metzger

CASTLETON- Dorothy E. Metzger, 59, of Castleton, passed away on Monday December 11, 2006 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Norman and Dorothy Brockley Sugrue.
Dorothy had worked for New York State for over twenty years. She was employed with the Department of Taxation & Finance and then with the Department of Transportation. Dorothy was a member of the Catholic Women's League and a former member of the Castleton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Dorothy is the beloved wife of 31 years to Malcolm J. (Butch) Metzger. She is the devoted mother of Matthew J. Metzger. Sister of the late Willian Sugrue and Ann McTavey. She is the dear sister in law of Maureen Sugrue. Aunt of Paul, Brian and Aaron Sugrue.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Horizon View Cemetery, Schodack. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Newcomerfamily.com
