Dorothy Miller

BALLSTON SPA- Dorothy Miller, 88, of Ballston Spa, passed away on Sunday August 6, 2006 at Wesley Health Care Center after a brief illness. She was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Christina Porter.
Dorothy resided in Schenectady until moving to Ballston Spa several years ago. She was lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 358 in Ballston Spa. She enjoyed playing bingo. She was predeceased by her husband John Miller, her daughter Judith Carr and her son, James Hickok III.
Dorothy is the beloved mother of Edwin Hickok, Delores Spencer, Bonnie Leighton, Raymond (Gloria) Miller and Jacqueline (Michael) Conners. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and her beloved cat, Charcoal.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service Thursday morning from 9 to 10 o'clock at the funeral home. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
